I decided to use the weekends to catch up on my blog reading. Some post this week have been helpful, informative, entertaining, and in one case, scary.
Beachgirl’s Budget Blog:
We don’t have cable at our apartment, so I like reading the recaps to ‘Big Spender’.
I actually have the same problem at check out lines, so it felt nice to know I’m not alone. Why can’t they make using coupons easier? If you ever hold up the line at the grocery store because of coupons, leave a comment on her site. We must unite!
I loved this article because it showed why it is important to have an emergency fund. The sad part was that someone had to learn it the hard way. again, it’s one of those things I understand from personal experience.
I use ING Direct for my savings, so this article definitely caught my eye. I personally just do as Trent does and have one savings account and just keep a spreadsheet on my funds. I like having an option to separate them in ING; however, and may use this technique in the future.
This story has a happy ending, but the heartache this couple had to go through was just ridiculous. Sometimes there is no common sense in laws.
